Presenters Application

The future is shaped by the ideas we share. Return to the Village brings together thousands of people to learn from one another, challenge assumptions and explore practical solutions for a thriving future. Whether you're an experienced presenter, a first-time speaker with a powerful story, or someone with practical knowledge to share, there's a place for your voice. From main stage presentations and village talks to interactive Conversation Hubs and PechaKucha (fast paced 6min) sessions, we're looking for ideas that educate, inspire and spark meaningful action.

ROUND 2: Opening 1st - 31st October for final program spaces.

Type of Talk

Return to the Village is moving beyond the traditional conference talk.

We’re creating a Knowledge Web where ideas are shared through storytelling, conversation, participation, demonstration and lived experience, not just one-way presentations. We encourage you to think creatively about how you might bring your knowledge to life and involve the people in the room.

Which best describes your proposed session?
Storytelling + Knowledge Sharing - stories, experiences and ideas woven together to share knowledge.
Interactive Presentation - A presentation combined with questions, activities, discussion or audience input.
Participatory Session - The audience actively contributes, responds, moves, creates or explores ideas together.
Demonstration + Talk - Showing something practical or visual while explaining the knowledge behind it.
Conversation Style - An informal, facilitated conversation rather than a presentation from the front.
Traditional Presentation - Primarily presenter-led, with the audience listening, with or without slides.

The APC has always been built on generosity, with presenters sharing their knowledge and skills in the spirit of a gift economy. At the same time, we deeply value the time, knowledge and expertise you bring. Are you are happy to participate?
